Normal people!

Normal people… I don’t really know what that means, or even if such a thing even exists, but I guess now I’m kinda obligated to reflect about it. I guess everyone is normal till you get to know them, you know, the people you see in the subway, the students Reading underlined photocopies, the old ladies trying to get a seat like their life depends on it, that kind of staff, you wouldn’t think there’s nothing weird or special about them, but I don’t think I’d call normal any of the persons I know, for example, I have this friend, Javiera, she’s a pretty normal girl at sight, but she’s also really weird in a lot of ways. She has this obsessision for having all the keys going to the same side on her key chain, but can make a mess of her room without even caring. She always eats sweet and salty thing at the same time, and is kind of a nerd, likes playing videogames, reading, watching weird movies and doesn’t talk to people a lot, but she also loves to dance, and she transforms into another person when she does it. But all those funny strange details are exactly what makes her special, to the point of being one of my best friends, almost my sister, even when we couldn’t be more different. Is that normal? I don’t know, and actually, I don’t really care either, cause what one person define as normal, other one says is not, like homosexuality, or being a vegetarian, or eating bugs and brains, or having seven wives, or whatever. I don’t think any of those things are right, or wrong, or normal. Things just are the way they are, and that’s fine for me.

the sci-fi!

I don’t like scince fiction a lot, it has never been one of my favourites genres, and i haven’t really tried to like it either. I think the first book of this genre i read was ona of Isaac Asimov, but I don’t remember the name, and not so long ago I saw a movie that was really good, but i have to admit that my first motivation wasn’t the argument, it was the appearence onf an actor I find really attractive, so my references of thins genre aren’t very good. I’m sure there are a lot of interesting books and movies in this category, but I can’t talk about them simply because I haven’t read or seen any of them (that I remember). And I don’t make the effort of informing myself about it, or serching for a good classis with good reviwes and that kind of things. I love horror movies though, I bet there’s a lot of science fiction involved in that, but the idea of futuristic-scientific storys just don’t go with me, or maybe it’s because every time i think about science fiction, I imagine the typical movie where someone finds an alien, or there are wierd experiments and someone ends up being half human and half animal, or with some strange power that ends up being awful, wherever it is, there’s only one sure thing I know: Science fiction, not for me.
